Characteristics and use:

ACIDO HP4 is a specific buffered acid cleaner for descaling granite, quartzite, porphyry, gneiss, crystalline schists, and stones containing ferrous materials, which tend to turn yellow.

  • unlike generic buffered acids, inhibits the oxidation of iron minerals contained in the stones, avoiding the formation of halos and yellow spots;
  • removes residues of cement grouts, efflorescence, calcareous incrustations, and paints;
  • removes even substantial limescale encrustations due to irrigation water;
  • removes halos and light surface rust deposits from external contamination from the stones;
  • does not contain hydrochloric acid.

Do not use on natural stones, terrazzo, and non-acid-resistant materials.

How to use

It can be used pure or diluted in water.

  • Pure: on encrustations, calcareous deposits, and substantial residues of cement grout;
  • Diluted 1 part of ACIDO HP4 in one or more equal parts of water: for washing where a normal descaling action is required.

How to use the product:

  • Spread the product on the surface and let it act for a few minutes;
  • Avoid product dripping and stagnation;
  • Rub the surface with brown buffer or brown discs or nylon tynex or carbo-rundum brushes;
  • Always rinse with plenty of water;
  • Repeat the wash if necessary.

  • for vigorous washing 1 lt / 4-8 m²;
  • for normal washing 1 lt / 10-15 m².

  • ACTIV3 Protective anti-rising damp and stain-resistant for stone materials.

Why use ACIDO HP4 and not hydrochloric acid to clean and descale granite, quartzite, porphyry, and crystalline schists?

While hydrochloric acid activates the iron contained within the stones, ACIDO HP4 inhibits the formation of rust and prevents your floor from yellowing.

Can I use ACIDO HP4 to clean my granite or porphyry from green meadows (ferrous sulfate)?

Yes, on these materials you can use the product to make a descaling and stain remover wash.

What treatment do you recommend on these surfaces?

It is recommended to apply at least one of the two GUARD or ACTIV3 water-repellent protectors in order to protect the material and prevent it from getting stained.

How does ACIDO HP4 Detergent work to remove cementitious residues and efflorescence?

ACIDO HP4 Detergent is a powerful product used to remove cementitious residues and efflorescence. This detergent is specially formulated to effectively act on these stains and deposits that form on the surface of construction materials. ACIDO HP4 Detergent operates through a chemical reaction that dissolves cementitious residues and eliminates efflorescence. Its potent formula penetrates the material’s pores, breaking the chemical bonds that hold together the cement or limestone particles. To properly use ACIDO HP4 Detergent, it is important to carefully follow the instructions on the product label. Typically, it is recommended to dilute the detergent with water according to the specific directions and apply it to the surface to be treated with the help of a brush. After application, allow the product to work for a certain period of time, depending on the severity of the stains or efflorescence. Then, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water to completely remove the detergent and unwanted residues. ACIDO HP4 Detergent is a valuable ally in cleaning and maintaining surfaces affected by cementitious residues and efflorescence. However, it is important to exercise caution while using the product and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and protective eyewear, to ensure the operator’s safety.

Is ACIDO HP4 Detergent safe to use on granite, slate, quartzite, gneiss, porphyry, and stones containing ferrous minerals?

ACIDO HP4 Detergent is a safe product to use on granite, slate, quartzite, gneiss, porphyry, and stones containing ferrous minerals. This detergent has been specifically formulated to be gentle yet effective in cleaning these surfaces without causing damage or alterations. Thanks to its balanced formulation and the presence of high-performance cleaning agents, ACIDO HP4 Detergent effectively removes stubborn dirt and stains without compromising the integrity of the surfaces in question. Before using ACIDO HP4 Detergent on any stone or ferrous mineral surface, it is still recommended to perform a test on a small, inconspicuous area to check for compatibility. Additionally, it is always advisable to follow the instructions provided on the label to achieve the best results and ensure maximum safety during use.

How does ACIDO HP4 Detergent work to remove rust stains and inhibit their formation?

ACIDO HP4 Detergent is a powerful product designed to remove rust stains and inhibit their formation. But how does it work exactly? ACIDO HP4 Detergent contains an advanced formula that targets rust specifically. When applied to the rusted surface, the acid in the detergent chemically reacts with the rust, breaking the chemical bonds that anchor it to the surface. Once the acid has completed its task of rust removal, the detergent acts as a descaler but, unlike hydrochloric acid, it does not lead to the formation of rust stains due to ferrous minerals present within the material. To use ACIDO HP4 Detergent properly, it is important to follow the instructions provided on the product label. Typically, it is recommended to apply the detergent directly to the rusted surface and allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. It is important to note that ACIDO HP4 Detergent is a potent chemical product and should be used with caution. Always ensure you wear protective gloves and work in a well-ventilated area when applying the detergent. In conclusion, ACIDO HP4 Detergent is an effective tool for removing rust stains and preventing their formation. Remember to use the product with care and follow the instructions carefully to achieve the best results.
