Extraordinary cleaning on surfaces contaminated by biological incrustations:  

• Dissolve in a clean plastic bucket 800 gr of ALGANET in 10 liters of water mixing for a few minutes. The solution thus obtained must be used within 3 – 4 hours;
• Can be applied by brush, sponge, soft cloth or broom;
• Thoroughly wet the surface to be treated by rubbing the product with hard brush or brown buffer and leave it act until drying (normally 12/24 hours);
• Repeat washing if necessary;
• Finally, rinse with plenty of water or pressure washer.

Extraordinary cleaning on surfaces heavily contaminated by biological incrustations (especially lichens): 

• It is advisable to carry out a preliminary washing with a pressure washer or rub the surface with water and BROWN BUFFER, so as to remove as much as possible the surface patina;
• Dissolve in a clean plastic bucket 800 gr of ALGANET in 10 liters of water mixing for a few minutes. The solution thus obtained must be used within 3 – 4 hours;
• Can be applied by brush, sponge, soft cloth or broom;
• Thoroughly wet the surface to be treated by rubbing the product with hard brush or brown buffer and leave until drying (normally 12/24 hours);
• Subsequently, the surface must be rinsed with a water solution and ECOMARBEC (diluted to 20/30%), so as to degrease and remove in depth the residues of dirt and product ALGANET;
• During the rinsing phase it is recommended to rub the surface with hard brushes, discs, brown buffers in order to facilitate the removal of degraded dirt;
• Repeat washing if necessary;
• Finally, rinse with plenty of water or pressure washer.

Yield:

• with 800gr of powder, about 10 liters of cleaning solution are prepared (average consumption of the diluted product 1 lt / 5-7 m2).

When should ALGANET be used?

ALGANET is ideal for cleaning and removing mould and biological incrustations, as well as for decontaminating outdoor surfaces. This product is particularly effective in treating mats of algae, lichen and mould that accumulate over time. By using it, surfaces will become clean again while maintaining their appearance and functionality over time.

Should the surface be scrubbed after applying ALGANET?

When there is not so much encrustation, washing with a high-pressure cleaner or pressurised water is sufficient, but on more tenacious encrustations it is recommended to rub the surface vigorously with brown discs or buffer pads and then with an aqueous solution of ECOMARBEC. In fact, it is only by rubbing that one can penetrate deep into the porosity of the material and uproot the lichen roots, which are very difficult to remove otherwise.

How can biological fouling be prevented?

To prevent or slow down the formation of biological incrustations, we recommend treating terracotta or concrete surfaces with IDROWIP or TIM water-repellent protection, and stone surfaces with SILOX 6 or ACTIV3 water-repellent protection.

Is it possible to reapply ALGANET periodically?

Yes, it is advisable. ALGANET decontaminates the surface and prevents the formation of mould and biological incrustations. It is recommended to apply it once a year in spring, leave it to work and wash it off with rainwater to avoid tiring pad washing. Algae in humid environments always reform despite the surface being treated: ALGANET does not spoil such treatments.

Is ALGANET harmful to plants?

ALGANET during the liquid phase may yellow the grass. It is therefore recommended to avoid contact with plant organisms. Simply apply it on the walls with a brush. Once the product is dry, it can be rinsed off onto the ground or into the sewage system as it has lost its harmfulness to plants.
