Description

Characteristics and use:

GRES BRILL is a descaling concentrated detergent for frequent washing of porcelain tiles floor.

GRES BRILL:

  • is a concentrated detergent that is used at very low concentrations in ordinary cleaning;
  • is ideal especially for ordinary or daily cleaning of polished, lapped porcelain tiles and glazed ceramic;
  • is recommended in the presence of calcareous waters, as it prevents or slows the formation of patinas, halos, and stains of calcareous origin;
  • dries quickly, without the need for rinsing in the concentration of ordinary cleaning;
  • retains the original gloss and color of the surface, and the continuous use of the product keeps the joints clean;
  • can be used for manual washing or with domestic floor cleaning equipment;
  • does not contain strong acids (eg hydrochloric, phosphoric);
  • is recommended to use it 1 or more times a month also on opaque porcelain tiles in the ordinary dilution to remove any calcareous patinas due to domestic water as an alternative to the product GRES LINDO.

In the case of very haloed floors and difficult to wash even with GRES BRILL, it is recommended to carry out a stain remover wash with POWER DET, as there is a patina on the surface due to incorrect or lack of cleaning after installation or for the application of waxes or products that have created patinas of non-domestic dirt.

Do not use on slate, limestone, marble, and polished grits.

How to use

  • Dilute 170-250 cc (about a glass) of GRES BRILL in 5lt of water: for an extraordinary cleaning on very haloed porcelain tiles and where there is very calcareous water.
    • Spread the product on the surface and let it act on the material for 4-5 minutes (the product must not dry);
    • After the contact time of the product, rub the material with a rough kitchen sponge or blue buffer;
    • Remove the product and dirt with microfibre cloths;
    • Finally rinse everything with clean water.
  • Dilute 20-50 cc (about half a coffee cup) of GRES BRILL in 5lt of water: for the ordinary descaling cleaning of porcelain tiles floors.
    • It is applied like a normal detergent with a microfibre cloth. In this dilution it is also possible to use scrubber-dryers. If traces of detergent remain, increase the dilution.

Yield:

  • according to the concentration of use.

Faq

GRES BRILL is the concentrated sanitizing detergent specific for the ordinary cleaning of porcelain tiles surfaces. When used correctly, it removes halos and dirt and is particularly suitable for very calcareous water.

Is it possible that GRES BRILL leaves halos on porcelain tiles surfaces?

Extraordinary cleaning with POWER DET is necessary before applying GRES BRILL on very dirty and dirty floors, as GRES BRILL is a product for the maintenance of porcelain tiles and these floors most likely have either not been cleaned well after installation or have been contaminated by substances that with the use of GRES BRILL cannot be removed completely.

Why use GRES BRILL on porcelain tiles?

In the ordinary cleaning of porcelain tiles, one of the most frequent problems is the formation of a limescale patina. The GRES BRILL product avoids or slows down this patina. It is recommended to use it on all types of porcelain tiles (not just glossy ones), as the problem of limestone in the water affects every porcelain tiles surface and the use of GRES BRILL slows down or blocks the formation of limestone patinas and prevents the floors become gray and stained with acid substances (vinegar, lemon, fizzy drinks…).

How often should GRES BRILL be used?

The frequency of use of GRES BRILL largely depends on the finish of the material. On polished or lapped porcelain tiles, which have a glass-like finish on the shower enclosure, use must be very frequent. On opaque porcelain tiles, the limescale problem is minor but still existing, therefore it must be used but less frequently.

On polished tiles, the fundamental problem is the superficial limestone. We recommend the combination of GRES BRILL and GRES LINDO as follows:

On opaque porcelain tiles we recommend the combination of GRES BRILL and GRES LINDO as follows:

  • in areas with a lot of calcareous water 5 times GRES LINDO and once GRES BRILL;
  • in areas with medium calcareous water 10 times GRES LINDO and once GRES BRILL.

This combination of products slows down the formation of domestic patinas. In fact, the objective of GRES BRILL is to clean and descale and of GRES LINDO to clean and degrease. Once every 6/12 months or if necessary, it is advisable to carry out an extraordinary cleaning with GRES LINDO and BLUE BUFFER because a limestone and greasy encrustation could re-form despite the use of GRES BRILL, as the limestone in the water is difficult to control. GRES LINDO used at higher concentrations can perform extraordinary washes to remove ordinary dirt patinas (grease and limestone), restoring the material to its original state. This cleaning is also recommended before reapplying the ANTISPORCO protective, but it is not recommended for post-installation or extraordinary stain remover cleaning because a stronger cleaning with POWER DET and BLUE BUFFER is required.

Does GRES BRILL need to be rinsed?

No, if used in ordinary cleaning it does not need any rinsing.

Can GRES BRILL be used in floor cleaning machines or steam mops?

Yes, it can be used and does not damage the machinery.

GRES BRILL is able to remove stains and halos on a very stained and haloed porcelain tiles floor?

If the floor is heavily stained and haloed, post-installation cleaning has probably been performed poorly or improper maintenance has been performed. Before using GRES BRILL or GRES LINDO, it is recommended to perform an extraordinary stain remover cleaning with the POWER DET product (diluted 50% in water) and BLUE BUFFER in order to remove all surface contamination patinas (even those not due to domestic substances) and bring the floor back to new.

Does GRES BRILL polish the porcelain tiles floor as if it were a wax?

GRES BRILL only keeps factory-made shiny floors shiny, not opaque ones (eg. wood effect). We do not recommend applying waxes and resins to porcelain tiles because the benefit of applying these substances is only temporary. This is because porcelain tiles was created not to be treated like glass and all the finishes that are applied to it remain on the surface and deteriorate with acid-alkaline substances and with foot traffic, giving an unsightly effect and leading to new extraordinary washes with POWER DET.

How can I make my matt porcelain tiles floor shiny?

To polish your matte porcelain tiles you have to call a sander, who will make it shiny with the diamond discs with the same process used in the factory for polished porcelain tiles. It is possible to re-polish glossy porcelain tiles (only those born glossy) worn by foot traffic, with the KW-SPECIAL product, which is a specific abrasive powder for such treatments.
