How to refurbish your porcelain floor

25 January 2023

If it’s time to polish the floor of the house and if the cleaning must be carried out on a porcelain tiles floor it is necessary, as we always advise, to use specific products for an ideal result.

The protagonists of this cleaning are the POWER DET and the BLUE BUFFER: let’s see together how to use correctly these two products in our catalog for the correct cleaning of the porcelain tiles floor.

Porcelain tiles, features and how to clean it

Porcelain tiles is a type of ceramic tile composed of a mixture of clay, feldspar, and quartz. It is known for its durability, stain and scratch resistance, and low porosity, which makes it resistant to moisture and bacteria.

Porcelain tiles are also known for their high level of hardness and wear resistance, making them suitable for high-traffic areas such as commercial and public buildings, as well as residential spaces. They are available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes, making them versatile and suitable for a wide range of styles and designs.

Porcelain tiles can be cleaned with mild detergent and warm water, and it is recommended to avoid the use of abrasive detergents or scrubbers, as they can scratch the surface of the tile.

For stubborn stains, a mixture of baking soda and water can be used as a paste and then rubbed with a damp cloth. For daily cleaning, you can use a wet mop or cloth to remove dirt and dust. We also recommend sealing porcelain tiles to protect it from stains and facilitate the cleaning.

How to clean a porcelain tiles floor with Power Det

POWER DET is a concentrated descaling detergent, whose main feature is to act as a specific degreaser when it comes to eliminating the most persistent post-installation residues, in addition to the stains and halos more difficult to eliminate.

Working a few square meters at a time you have to thoroughly wet the surface with POWER DET, diluted to 50% in hot water, distributing the product with the use of BLUE BUFFER, ideal for extraordinary cleaning of porcelain tiles.

At this point it is necessary to let the POWER DET act for a time-varying between ten and fifteen minutes, avoiding drying the product on the surface.

At the end of this operation, you must then rub vigorously, always with BLUE BUFFER, on all the wet surfaces until the complete removal of dirt.

A further step is then that of recovery, with the use of microfiber cloths, product, and dirt still present, then rinsing the surface with clean water (operation to be repeated two or three times) for the complete removal of POWER DET still present.

The result, at the end of these operations, carried out with two specific products such as POWER DET and BLUE BUFFER, will be to bring back the surface to shine, ready to face with new luster the new year!
