How to clean stained granite: user guide of acido HP4

Granite is a type of igneous rock that is formed by the cooling and solidification of magma or lava deep below the Earth’s surface. It is composed of minerals such as feldspar, quartz and mica, which give it its characteristic spotted appearance.

It is a material known for its hardness and wear resistance, which make it popular for construction. It is commonly used as a building material for countertops, floors, walls and monuments, and is available in a variety of colors and patterns, ranging from light shades of white and gray to darker shades of black, brown and red.

However, it is important to note that granite is a porous material and can absorb liquids, which can cause stains if not properly sealed and maintained.

How to clean stained granite

Cleaning the stained granite requires delicacy, to avoid damaging the surface of the stone.

It is first important to identify the type of stain before starting to clean, as different stains require different cleaning solutions. Oil stains, for example, require a different approach than water-based stains, and it is crucial to create a specific cleaning solution.

If then the stain is fresh, you must start by drying it as much as possible (but gently) with a clean and dry cloth and, in general, you must apply the detergent solution on the stained area using a soft cloth or sponge.

Finally, it is necessary to make sure to cover the entire stain with the specific product, letting the solution stand for a few minutes so that it penetrates the affected area, rinsing at the end and repeating the operation if necessary.

How to use buffered acid to clean granite from oil stains

To remove oil stains from granite, the solution is to use ACIDO HP4 buffered acid, specific for the descaling of granite and for those stones containing ferrous materials (such as granite, in fact) that have a tendency to turn yellow.

Use this product is extremely simple and simply spread it on the surface (pure or diluted, in the case of an ordinary wash) and let it act for a few minutes.

At the end of this operation, simply rub the surface with brown buffers or discs or, alternatively, with brushes of carbo-rundum, nylon or tynex, finally rinsing with plenty of water.

If you have not yet achieved the desired result, no problem: simply repeat the washing to return your granite surface as new!
