Specific stain remover for the removal of the grey patina of aging of rough woods. It gives the wood a new aspect and removes stains and tannin halos, preparing the surface for the application of a new protection.
Description
Characteristics and use:
SMACCHIO LEGNO is a stain remover for wooden surfaces and artifacts such as: floors, coverings, garden furniture, windows, etc.
SMACCHIO LEGNO:
- removes gray patinas of aging, algae, and mold from wood exposed to the outside, rough or with protective finishes to be restored;
- avoid the surfaces from being sanded;
- easily renews the natural appearance of aged and deteriorated wood, preparing it for the application of a new protection (paints, oils, various impregnating agents);
- can also be used as a specific tannin stain remover on wooden surfaces, both raw and treated (oiled or painted). In the case of painted surfaces, the product works only if it comes into contact with the wood fiber that is under the painted surface.
SMACCHIO LEGNO product is not a detergent for the daily cleaning of wooden and parquet surfaces, it is not a paint remover or a wax remover and it does not remove the layers of paint, impregnating agents, oils and waxes.
How to use
- Shake before using;
- Apply the product with a brush, cloth, sponge on the surface;
- Keep the surface wet for about 20 minutes or more, depending on the patina to be removed;
- After the contact time, rub the surface with water and blue buffers or discs of medium hardness or nylon brushes;
- Spread the DETERCLEAN detergent diluted 50% in water on the material, in order to neutralize the acid action of SMACCHIO LEGNO product;
- Finally, rinse with clean water;
- Repeat the application if necessary.

- in the recovery of old wood 1lt / 6 – 8 m²;
- as a stain remover 1lt / 12 – 15 m².

Does SMACCHIO LEGNO remove stains due to urine or water on treated or painted wood surfaces?
SMACCHIO LEGNO product removes stains due to these substances, but the product works if it comes into contact with the wood essence, where the stain was created. If not, it fails to work and you need to try to keep the surface wetter so that the product penetrates the wood and removes the stain (30 min / 1 hour).
Can I use SMACCHIO LEGNO to remove gray dirt from my parquet?
Yes, SMACCHIO LEGNO if given in combination with WHITE BUFFER, removes the gray patinas due to aging and trampling of the internal wooden floor.
Can I use SMACCHIO LEGNO on bleached parquet without removing the paint color?
Of course. The product does not affect the paint; to fulfill its function, it must come into contact with the wood. However, it depends on the state of the paint. If it is new, it will most likely not penetrate the product.
