Description

Characteristics and use:

OLIO41 is an oil-waxy primer for wooden floors and decking placed outside.

OLIO41:

forms a hydro-oleophobic protection, resistant, non-sticky and easy to apply;
counteracts the aging and graying of wood;
gives protection to the wood that allows it to breathe, avoiding moisture stagnation, in order to inhibit the development of micro-organisms (algae, mold);
can be pigmented with OILTONER (3-5%) so as to customize the finish and make the treatment more stable to UV degradation;
does not create surface films and leaves the natural appearance of the material;
does not create exfoliations and does not require refilling;
It is preserved over time through ordinary cleaning with the detergent DETERCLEAN and the protective anti-dirt wax, anti-degradation BARRIER to be applied twice a year.

When the surface of the wood appears deteriorated and thinned, reapply a coat of OLIO41. The frequency of renewal of the protection depends on many factors: type of wood, exposure and use, climatic conditions.

The application of the product should be carried out only on rough or previously oiled woods. Do not apply on painted surfaces.

How to use

Shake OLIO41 before use;
Distribute OLIO41 with spreading fleece, brush or soft cloth wetting the surface evenly and following the absorption of wood;
After about 15-30 minutes remove the excess product from the surface by rubbing it with soft cloth and brush;
Apply a second coat as above.

Generally dry in 24 hours.

The treatment is completely dried after 24-48 hours depending on the environmental conditions.

WARNING: once finished processing, it is advisable not to accumulate rags, sponges, sawdust etc. soaked in OLIO41 and, for the danger of self-combustion, it is advisable to wet them with water and dispose of them.

Yield:
Depending on the wood absorption:

on low absorbent wood 1lt/12-15 m²;
on absorbent wood 1lt/6-10 m²;
on very compact woods 1lt>30 m².

Is OLIO41 suitable for outdoor floors with large sun exposure, as well as exposure to rain?

Yes, OLIO 41 is specific for the treatment of outdoor wooden floors, it is also used on marine boats.

Can it be used together with the BARRIER product?

BARRIER increases the protection and the “life” of OLIO41. OLIO41 is applied by giving two coats on rough surfaces, or a hand on those already treated.

After 2-3 days from the application of OLIO41, you can apply a coat of BARRIER. The latter, if applied at least 2 times a year, prevents the reapplication of OLIO41.
