Wet effect treatment for external cotto
Oil-wax impregnating agent for the wet effect treatment of terracotta surfaces and absorbent stone materials placed outdoors. Protects and enhances the characteristics of the material without creating surface films.
Description
Characteristics and use:
WET OUT is an oil-waxy protective impregnating agent for surfaces in cotto, terracotta and stone materials placed outside.
WET OUT:
✔ is an oil-waxy stain-resistant impregnating agent for the wet and antiqued effect treatment with high resistance to atmospheric agents;
✔ saturates the porosity of the cotto without leaving surface films and does not create peeling;
✔ leaves a light layer of easily polishable wax on the material;
✔ dries faster than cooked linseed oil without creating shading;
✔ can be pigmented with OILTONER (3-15%) in order to customize the finish and make the treatment more stable to the degradation of UV rays;
✔ is preserved over time through ordinary cleaning with the ECOMARBEC detergent and the anti-dirt, anti-degradation protective wax PAV05 to be applied twice a year.
When the surface of the stone material appears deteriorated and lean, reapply a coat of WET OUT. The frequency of renewal of the protection depends on many factors: type of wood, exposure and use, climatic conditions.
How to use
Apply only on clean, dry, and absorbent surfaces. In general, two WET OUT passes are required.
- Shake WET OUT before use;
- Distribute WET OUT with a wax fleece, brush or soft cloth, evenly wetting the surface and following the absorption of the material;
- After about 15-30 minutes, remove excess product from the surface by rubbing it with a soft cloth and brush;
- Wait for drying (at least 24 hours);
- Apply a second coat proceeding as above.
ATTENTION: once the processing is finished, it is advisable not to accumulate rags, sponges, sawdust, etc., soaked in WET OUT and, due to the danger of self-ignition, it is advisable to wet them with water and dispose of them.
Yield:
• on Tuscan cotto 1 lt / 12-18 m2;
• on light-coloured terracotta or very absorbent stones 1 lt / 5-10 m2.

Faq
Why do you recommend reapplying WET OUT every year?
It is advisable to apply a light veil of WET OUT every year because the product deteriorates slightly with bad weather and UV rays and an annual application of the product (preferably in spring) renews the treatment and restores the floor to its initial characteristics. To maintain and not deteriorate the treatment, it is recommended to regularly clean the surface with ECOMARBEC.
