Descaling cleaning for granite, porphyry and stone containing iron ore

Where and when

Where:

• On stones such as granite, porphyry, Luserna stone, beola, serizi, crystalline schist, quartzite and stones that tend to yellow because they contain ferrous material.
• Do not use on natural stone, cement agglomerates and materials not resistant to acids.

When:

• For an essential cleaning process of floor and wall coverings made of granite, porphyry and other stones containing ferrous minerals. Stones containing ferrous material, when washed with unsuitable acids such as hydrochloric acid, activate the iron contained within. This process causes the surfaces of this type of stone to yellow.
• This specific type of cleaning is ideal for removing:
  • • efflorescence and limescale incrustation;
    • cement residues from laying;
    • lime paint residues;
    • plastering residues;
    • surface rust deposits;
    • lime deposits and incrustations due to irrigation or weathering.

Frequency of use:

• For a one time cleaning after installation;
• For cleaning after site work, painting or building work;
• For annual descaling cleaning in outdoor areas;
• For spot cleaning of ferrous contamination.
